Tennis Ball Tubes

Tennis is an excellent cardio exercise that people enjoy. One of its main pieces of equipment is tennis ball, which can be difficult to gather and store once the game is finished. Enter the tennis ball tubes.

As their name implies, these are tubes with sufficient space to hold tennis balls anywhere from 3 to 21 balls at a time. When these were first introduced in 1925, the tubes were made of cardboard and other paper materials although pressurized metal tubes were introduced in the following year.

Nowadays, these tubes for tennis balls are made from recycled plastic that comes in either transparent or opaque surface. The top can be opened and closed with a pull-tab seal coupled with a plastic lid in which the balls can be placed in safely and poured out easily, as the case may be. Usually, these tennis ball tubes are used for pressurized tennis balls while nets and bags are used to store pressure-less tennis ball although there is nothing in the rule book that says otherwise.

Keep in mind that pressurized tennis balls must be kept inside a container with a pressure of approximately 2 atmospheres before initial use. The tubes reintroduce the desired pressure into the balls after these have been used during the game.

Furthermore, these tubes perform an essential function in the actual gathering of the scattered balls after a batting practice or a series of games. The special design allows for the easy pick-up of the balls on various types of surfaces like grass, pavement, wood chips, clay and pea gravel without having to bend with each and every ball pick-up.

The tennis ball tubes perform the important functions of keeping the balls organized and pressurized to just the right degree. The result is that their uses can be extended until the balls become bald.
